“Maariana Vikse gave a lovely performance as Melissa.” Allan Kozinn, The New York Times

American Mezzo-Soprano Maariana Vikse is an international, award-winning opera singer and breast cancer survivor. Her passion for singing began at the age of 4 with her first singing lesion from her grandfather.  Maariana’s goal is to make ever performance unique and special, always take the audience on a journey and have them experience the heights of passion and excitement that life has to offer.

In addition to live performances, Maariana is releasing her first solo album “Live Every Moment” in 2020.  The songs are indicative of the most incredible moments of our lives, those that define who we are: our first kiss, heart break and deep lasting love.

Maariana also created a mixtape of Hip-hop/Opera mashups with Grammy-Award winning producer Joshua Valleau and cellist, Brian Sanders.

Maariana’s most recent performance was  Marquise of Berkenfeld, in Opera Carolina’s production of The Daughter of the Regiment. Other performances include the title roll of Carmen with New York City Opera's special concerts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Duenna in Cyrano with Opera Caroline, Meg Page in Falstaff with Opera Delaware and Tigrana in Puccini's Edgar with Baltimore Concert Opera.
